Question: Under Construction but Hot or Not ?
Hello everyone, I am a new member. I have been visiting here for quite a while and everyone here is very knowledgeable and helpful. I have a '86 T-Bird I have been working on for a few years now. This is my second one, the first one, also an '86, I bought when it was only three years old with 30,000 on it. I had it for 13 years when i wrecked it having 155,000+ on it. I loved it so much I had to have another one. This one started life as a turbo-coupe, it now has a rebuilt warmed over '72 302 with a C-4 w/shift kit. It is a little rough but it is a work in progress and is slowly but surely getting there. Here are a few pics so far, be gentle, although I do value everyones opinion here.

I like it. first you just dont see very many yellow fox thunderbirds and that interior looks awesome
Right on!
I dig what you have done with the gauges in the dash. Very well done.
I can honestly say that I've never seen anybody put the shifter in that location. Is it because the C-4 is longer?
It looks like you moved all of the console controls to the floor shifter spot. Very cool.
I can't wait to see it when it's finished.
Welcome !!! Keep on working on it.It'll never be finished,no matter what you do.I have an '88 model.I will go ahead and let you ship me your door panels and dash.LOL.Just kidding.Your interior looks great.I've never seen the shifter in that location.A+ on being a little different. What's up with that multi color paint scheme?Nice car though.keep up the good work, get involved in everything here and have a good time.see ya round the ol' forum..
Awesome! I'm loving the paintjob. The interior is nice, and the shifter blows my mind. And this is still "under construction"? Welcome to the boards!
Nice! i hat yellow but i really like the way it looks on your car, or maybe its the three tone with the primer, im parsail to three tones and primer:)
its not mounted directly to the trans. its ran off a cable, so basically he could mount the shifter on the dash if he wanted to.
very nice i like the yellow and like the guages welcome and now you must let me have your car
-welcome, cool ride, keep up the good work.....
Are those gauges difficult to read? It seems like they would be because they are not angled toward the driver's point of view.
It looks like you've put a lot of work into it. That's certainly admirable. With a little more refinement, that interior would be sweet.
D'oh. I should have known that...
The water temp gauge which is the top one next to the tach is partially blocked by the steering wheel. It wasn't with the stock wheel by the grant is smaller. The rest of them are just fine to see.
Welcome! Nice car, hey no cracks in the dashboard. What gives? :giggle:
The interior was exceptional when i got it. I need to replace the aluminum piece where the door lock switches are and the interior light has pits in the chrome, but other than that the rest is great, even the carpet.
I love the interior!! I thought about building a gague pod like that becuase I dont like the ones I have, even though I have the buttstuffog gagues to start with.
!!! Nice bird man.
Looks good. I like the dash  . Have you thought about painting the car yellow and leaving the hood semi gloss black a la 70-71 Torino GT?
