when i used to floor my car it downshifted, now it doesnt do that anymore. what could be the reason for this?
Is your TV cable adjusted properly? If it has come off FIX IT NOW OR YOU WILL KILL YOUR TRANS!

It's under the throttle body.

haha alright. thats for that pic masterblaster!! i had no clue what those pictures were on the other website. i'll go take a pic of mine and post it
i just took a look and the material is different. like the wire is blue and it has a rectangular shape. and the black plastic thing that holds the wire is bigger.
There may be parts variations for some reason. The main thing is... is the "block" with the pin still attached and moving with the throttle lever, or is it dangling? The grommet through the lever is the common point of failure. Of course, it could be disconnected at the trans end too. A bunch of little snap-on ball jointed connectors.

Here's a pic I used in another thread. Ignore the non-TV parts.

alright, what angle is that from because that doesnt look firmilar at all!
The drawing is the view from the driver's side through the fender (use your x-ray vision), showing the general relationship between the parts where they attach to the bellhousing, levers and stuff.
The photo is the view upwards, when you lie on the ground and someone rolls the car over you until the driver's tire is on your chest and oily crud is dripping in your eyes.
