Title: Source for Light Sandalwood (63D) touchup paint?
Post by: bq93 on January 02, 2005, 04:01:10 PM
Can anyone tell me where I might find touchup paint for a light Sandalwood (63D) car?  I’ve looked in all of the stores in my area and can’t seem to find it on the shelves.  If I remember correctly, it was an uncommon color, so I may be screwed.  :brick:

I’m thinking about ordering some from towerpaint.com, but I wanted to see if I could find some smaller touch up bottles first.

Thanks.

63D is the body code, you'll need to recheck for the paint code. It will be two digits....

There's a place here in town that makes spray paint to whatever color code you provide them. It's expensive, like $17 a can, but it's supposedly an exact match. I'll be trying it someday soon. If we have a place like that, I don't see why you wouldn't have something like that nearby in a much larger city.

Doh! :brick:

You are correct of course (brain fart).  It's tough to read but I think it is actually 5B/6054 - Driftwood Metallic Clearcoat.

Looks like I'll try Tower Paint.
