Shouldnt have to relocate the filter if hes workin on the car in his signature(88 Sport). I know i didnt on mine and im pretty sure all the sports came with the fake duals.

Only 83-86 cars have to have the fuel filter moved. The 87-88 cars don't.

No issue with my fuel filter - it's an '87.

I went with 18" lers (Magnaflow makes them) to make up for the 4" longer wheelbase (Mustang uses 14" lers) & LX talpipes with 13" extensions to bring the tips out to the rear bumper.

Looks sweet now :D

I have an '85...where's the recommended location to move the filter to?    I want to fit dual mustang lers.  I'm not sure if moving the filter toward the front of the car a few inches is enough, or if it should be moved to the outside of the framerail, like i've seen on some.  Would the fuel line from the tank to the filter be long enough?
Thanks.

How would I extend it?

Just disconnect the filter, plug some barbed extension hose fittings into both hoses and add a few inches of hose on either side, however much you need.  Any decent parts store will have those things cheap.  Oh and don't forget hose clamps.

Did you use the mustang  intermediate pipes without extending them when you did that ?

Yes, that was the advantage of using 18" lers - make up for the 4" wheelbase difference & make the car a bit quieter - win - win for me :D
