Title: Moldy smelling interior
Post by: al green on October 17, 2006, 10:57:36 PM
I have a parts car thats been sitting for 7 years in a damp garage. Its a Turbo Coupe and the inside is in very good shape.I plan
on using all I can from the interior on my 87 with a V6.Both cars have blue interiors. But the inside smells moldy. What is the best way to clean it.Is it hard to remove the covers from the seat, have then cleaned and put back on?Or will a good scrubbing do.

I've heard of using a pressure washer on the seats to clean them when they are moldy or badly stained

I had a carpet cleaning service do my seats that I just removed from my car.It was a year ago,but they also do furniture, and they only charged me $25.00 to do the front and back.Of course I pulled them first to keep it easy.Just a thought.

Rent a steam cleaner, strip the interior, do everything.
