Title: Dash Lights
Post by: capitlj on October 17, 2006, 12:56:41 PM
Ok so i figured out why i have no dash lights.  The mechanical oil pressure guage i had was leaking inside the car shorted out my cluster (fixed) but it got down to the dash dimmer on the headlamp switch i can get it for $70 from work here but thats a little steep anyone know if i can repair it or get another one for cheap.

PS i already tried all the syards in town they keep crushing all the fox t-birds and cougars they get.  Lots of MN12's and stangs tho s.

So...you had oil passing through your firewall? That's like, not safe...

Mark VII's used the same headlight switch that we had, at least from 1985-ish on up.

For a street car, use an electrical gauge.....

Its a mechanical reostat with wiper arm so you could try a spray can of electronic cleaner and then blow it dry.
