Ahem...the red interior is in a pre-87 Stang, Fairmont, or Futura (to my knowledge-could be wrong)..
And that Cougar looks to ME like an 86...got 4 eyes on the front...

the one looked more or less like an ltd or 83-84 cougar interior. The others are definately and 85-86 interior, oh and the tail lights and all....

Either an '85 or '86 but there's too much glare on the rear glass to tell if it has a third brake light. If the taillights are the originals then it would be an '85.

I've seen nicer cars sitting in wrecking yards.:shakehead

i agree with Chuck, and i never want to see a "real" car rot. unless some one just won the lottery and wants to dump 50 grand in it

The  dash and console look brand new!  I'll give him $25 for the dash and all the trim bezels.  That way he makes SOME money for putting the time in to set this up on eBay.....

No, it isnt.
That interior shot is of an 80's Ranger.
Here is an interior shot from a 1992 Nite F-150,  as you can see....no comparison. The interior was more or less like this in all F-150's up till 1996, when the next-gen trucks came out, although this interior carried over till 1998 in the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks.

Yes, the '83-'86 consoles went all the way to the rear seat, the '87-'88' consoles are shorter.

i want that console! i have one in now from Darkthunder or he was when i got it from him and i like it fine for the price but it leave much to improve on. like the right color, and the lid is cracking and i have dual power seats and one contol slot. i love having it and it was a great buy but now i want to upgrade to the correct year console and one in better shape

I believe the only difference between the '83-'84 & the '85-'86 consoles was the lids and the controls. The base or shell itself is the same.
I have a NOS one at home, I can look at the part number on it tonight and see if it has a 1983 part number or not.

The leading edge of the 83-84 (where it lines up with the dash, on the sides) is slightly different as well. Didn't stop me from installing an '83 console into my '88 'Bird though...

Ahh, that makes sense, since the dashes are so different. I didn't even think about the front probably being different to match the newer dash design.

That thing is a pile, notice it doesn't have a rear under it...and the carpet is green which means water's been leaking in. And the engine's half torn apart.

No thanks.

Well I know for sure that the interior (Red) is of a first gen ranger, and judging buy the steering wheel would have to say 86 or older, though I don't ever remeber seeing that particular type of wheel in one, looks more like a GM,LTD, or CV steering wheel.

Also my xr7 cost me 300 and was in much better shape... oh and mine is a true 87.. lol

Yeah, I think he should part out the consle to a "needed" customer and let the earth take back what was taken from it.

I guess that is rare cause anyone with a brain wouldn't let such a nice 87 turbo xr7 made out of older car parts get that bad. If that is an 87 I'm john denver. Also I didn't think they made the 4banger turbo XR7 in 87-88. I guess the rare part is if you believe all the othre lies about this car you will believe the ones about it being rare.

Actually the difference is very minor. It almost perfectly matches the dash, but there is a ridge along the leading edge of the "flaps" that isn't there on the 85-88 console. It certainly wasn't enough to stop me from using it :grinno: I think Shawn (TBird232CI was the one that pointed the differences out to me)
