Put the 5.0 in there while your at it :D

I dunno about bolting to the engine but I know you have to extend it 8" before the ler and another 10-ish at the tailpipe.

0i dont think so. the cat back "might" work. ive never put a dual exhaust on a v6. the manifolds wont work obviously. the h pipe likely wont bolt up to the tbirds manifiolds. as specially if the v6 has cast manifolds as well.

Anybody that can cut and weld can put that system on.. I didn't know my Bird has fake Dual exhaust not even a good connection on the Y pipe then too dual lers.. I am finding out real fast you can't just put the V-8 in there...

I think this guy wants to bolt the Mustang system up to the V6 manifolds WITHOUT welding.

I can pretty much guarantee that it won't work.
Find some headers from a late '90's 3.8 Mustang and custom fab an exhaust if you want true duals.  The only Ford vehicle that came with the 3.8 AND dual lers were the supercharged MN-12's and those wer a quasi-dual exhaust much like the 88 5.0 t-birds and cougars.

Depending on your location I have a custom welded dual exhaust setup for a Tbird/Cougar with a 3.8 that will bolt to the manifolds that I can sell you.

also, cat back is different on thse as well cause of the independant rear. that is, if they were all indepensant. was it only the super coupe that got those?

i plan to put the 5.0 in it, it is the only car i have though so i am waiting till the 3.8 gives out for an excuse, i just wanted to know if the manifolds would bolt up, it looked the same from under the hood, but i just wanted to find out before i took it apart, why waste time huh? The mustang i have was wrecked so i can use most everthing i need out of it including the 5 spd, but until i have time does anyone know if the motor will bolt up to the 3.8 aod automatic, i know i will probably have to change flywheels

There may be a problem shipping it since it is one piece from the mainolds to the lers. This means its over 6 foot long.

That and it only has 2 cats in the system. Since you live in Ca would there be a problem with emissons on it?
