I think it was someone from here that actually posted that video.
I've been driving Fords/Mercurys/Lincolns/Pick ups and Vans since 1968
My first Ford was a '76 Elite. Silver w/maroon , 460/4bbl, tow package (12mpg on hwy but it would RERALLY get off the line), Pro-trac L-60 15 rear/G-60 15 front on Cragar S/Ss.
One of the classiest bodies ford made in the 70s. I think the only one I liked better was the LTD II. Those T-birds were up there, though.
it has chrome mirrors! i thought all birds came with black mirror? i think im wrong but i want to make sure
1983 Heritage models had chrome mirrors. Notice that it also has the "Electro-Luminescent Coach Lamps" on the c-pillars, which were also part of the Heritage package.
In 1984, Elan models (which had replaced the Heritage model) had chrome mirrors however the coach lamps were now an option on the Elan and the lamps also became available as an option on the 1984 base model.
Both the chrome mirrors & the coach lamps went away in 1985.
