ok i need your guys opinion on this swap. i have a standard 3.8 V6 and want to throw in a 3.8V6 SC in it. but are there alot of bolt-on's for it? prolly not as much as the 5.0. but still some. and are these fast stock in a stock 87? and will it fit the exhaust that i already have on it? im sure everything is completely different. influence me yall i need to know this.

One of our members (spazpuppies) has done the swap. It's a pretty cool concept, but given the fragility of the 3.8 and the complexity of the swap you might want to think twice. There are a few bolt-ons, I'm sure (ported supercharger lid, smaller pulley, etc) but you're going to be limited by the 3.8 and its known reliability problems.

the 3.8 SC IS not the same block or heads as a regular 3.8 right?

There are some slight differences, but the basics are the same. I think the SC version has a few cylinders with a very slightly different bore and/or slightly different bearing clearance specs, and the heads may have slightly different ports, but all that 3.8 luvvin' is present and accounted for otherwise...
