I can buy a mark 7 with a blown tranny with 90k on it ,the mark 7 has a 302 ho with headers runs great but tranny shot body is real nice shape, bone stock never been touched,I'am thinking of taken the motor for the ho conversion for my car the aniv,cougar and keeping my motor stock and not beat for future resale,

if its that nice of a car, i wouldnt part it out like that. if i were you, i'd buy it fix it, and drive it. or, buy it fix it and sell it for more than the total repair + cost. like buy it for 500 and sell it for 2k after you clean it up and make it look pretty and run nice. i deffenatly wouldnt part out a good car with only a minor problem tho.

Throw a tranny in it and drive it happily.
