CKY rocks ;)
. A week ago I could have offered you a NICE low profile fiberglass cap for that. 3" tall with a rear spoiler. Sold it last week for $125.
nice. tubbed on some 15x15's I can see the future.
Question; who hard was your 460 swap? i want, want being the key word, to put a big block in my new 88. i dont now if i can afford to do it. it would be a budget build like a mofookie.
just trying to get a feel for wht im lookin at as far as price
its only as hard as you make it really. It was no worse then putting a 302 in a fox car. Just use the right mounts, oilpan etc..
actually if you have any questions about putting a 2.3 turbo in a ranger... go to this website and register then u can post and read there is a section on turbo rangers.. http://www.therangerstation.com my id on there is same as here... but i sure aint been there in a while.
SleeperTbird, too bad we aren't closer...I've got a '88 2.3t that I gotta get something done with...far as i know, it's a good motor, I just wasn't able to start it cause the gas tank had been cut out of the TC when I bought it, but the engine did crank over well, no noises, and oil was clean and full.
I don't have the eec to it tho, and I wanted to keep the T5.
If you think you may be interested tho, keep me in mind.
FWIW, the whole car is in my barn, till i get the motor and trans pulled, it's not sittin out in the weather.
Package deal on it, i/c goes with it, mounts, alt. ac compressor, etc..i'm not pullin' anything off of it.
Or you could go to http://www.rangerpowersports.com.
Dump in a 3.0 from a newer Ranger or B3000 and custom fab a turbo onto that! Of course, probably take quite a bit of time/money....
what.. no more pics! come on! heheh.
lol :pbb:
ignore the tbird colum :nkhk:
Looks like one of those optionless trucks with a 2.0 in it. I got one that looks just like yours but without the decals down the side.
Nah, that engine is a dog, it would need way more than a turbo. Now the 4.0 on the other hand would be a much better starting place.
3.0 have the Kenne Bell Supercharger. I like the 3.0 in my Escape, has enough power for me.
I say do what you want to it. But if it were me I would drop in the 2.3T and use it to do daily driver duty.
It is bare bones. manual brakes, steering, etc. But has a dealer installed a/c unit.
Heres the pics that wouldnt post (if they will):beatyoass:
dont want no vulcan :shakeass:
Thats the plan. I see a holset in its future:nkhk:
Yeah mine aint got squat either. Been trying to get the body decent looking these past weeks, but the fenders are too far gone at the bottom. Bed might be salvagable but I dont know. I've been thinking about a 2.3T also.
If your planning on a Holset, talk to B2urbo over at http://www.rangerpowersports.com/forum/index.php? he makes some awesome headers for a holset in a Ranger.
I plan to leave mine on the ruff side going to use it as a beater:pbb:
I will probly end up making my own header and stuff im going to try something a bit differant
