Title: Help! Freakin Hard Water Spots!
Post by: Silencer on September 28, 2006, 05:08:18 PM
Like a complete idiot I left my T-bird in the driveway of my girlfriends house and forgot that her sprinklers come on that day.
I cant seem to get the water spots off of my windows or my paint, I've tried window cleaner on both the windows and the paint, it kind of works but I cant seem to get it off totally.
Does anyone know how to get these spots off?

:iagree: for the paint. Or you could try a polish and a good wax first. For the windows I've know people to use vinager with good results.

Distilled white vinegar will remove the water spots from the paint.  The clay bar is a lot of work for just water spots.  If the water spots are allowed to stay on too long, though, they will etch the paint.  If that happens, you'll have to use a mild cut polish to smooth the surface.  So I suggest you give your whole car a vinegar bath ASAP.

If you're just trying to spray wax it off, that won't work.  I used to get those.  Washing the car with soap and water always seemed to work.  I now have realigned the sprinkler heads so they don't hit the car.
