Title: 84 3.8 T-5 swap is done and running
Post by: 84ilm on September 20, 2006, 01:57:44 PM
I just completed it on my 84 3.8 Mustang with C-5 automatic.
I thought I would also post this info here since the early mustang and thunderbird/cougar 3.8s are very similar.
I posted an overview at http://vb.foureyedpride.com/showthread.php?t=37028 (http://"http://vb.foureyedpride.com/showthread.php?t=37028")
I hope this helps those that are interested.

HaHa,  yeah I know. That's what happens when you hurt your back and have 2 months to do nothing but research strange ideas.

Wow lighten up!  The only thing your research showed was that the 1988 3.8 has the same imbalance as the later mustang 3.8s. Nobody could confirm for sure what was the 83-87 3.8 flywheel imbalance and what manual flywheel could be used.
