Anyone ever "test" this rumor to see if it works? The fiance has xp home and I'm building a new system. Might try it out and see what happens...
I heard that it was only 30 days.... I dont think that it matters too much, I have heard that as long as it never hits the internet that you are fine. I have also heard that you can just take out the battery on the motherboard or reset your date wrong to get around it. One of my freinds jacked a copy from a store and it died after a month or so. He fixed it by calling up microsoft and telling him that he lost that code and they gave him a generic one
120 days working = Beta Version of windows... (For the beta Testers)
15 Day working without activation = You dont have a Corporate Edition
No Activation needed = Corporate Version
Home Version = Lighter edition.
Pro Version= More efficient, More options, Better Stability
My suggestion is : Use a "SP2 Pro Corporate" version of Windows XP...
Why you wanna "test" a 120 day reset anyway :wtf: :dunno:
