Title: Front end squeaking!
Post by: 85turbotbird on September 12, 2006, 08:05:58 PM
I just replaced my sway bar end-links with a set from Energy Suspension.  The bushings are polyurethane.  They seem to squeak a lot though...is this a known noise with new polyurethane bushings or is there something else I should be looking at?!?!

Grease on endlinks? I've never had that problem. Even with ES endlinks.

White Lithium grease should more or less be a given when you mate Urethane to steel, at least in the case of endlinks and swaybar bushings.

I recently called Energy Suspension to see why my end-links would be squeaking and/or what I could do to keep them from squeaking.  The customer service representative informed me that the set I bought from CH performance was actually the wrong set.  Apparently CH Performance had a mismatch when they were listing their parts.  The kit they sent me is for the 80-82 T-bird's.  He checked the part number of the set I bought with the set I should be using and they're too long.  He's sending me out the correct sleve and bolt size so hopefully this will correct my squeaking issues!
