I just have a few quick questions about twin turbos/turbo all together.
Since I admit, I have no clue about installing a turbo...
Can you turbo a Carbed engine? Or is it only fuel injection engines?
If so, how would I go about doing that?
Also, what are the best twin turbo kits for 5.0s out there that you know of?
You can turbo a carbed motor. The first 2.3 turbos were carbed. It takes some special carbs to supply enough fuel for the engine. Also look at supercharged carbed engines...same principle. Forced induction needs more fuel in general. Fuel injection is safer for forced injection because the PCM can monitor everything to make sure the engine won't blow up from fuel starvation. Carbs just react to the way the engine is breathing. Newer systems, like on my Grand Prix, can cut out the boost from the supercharger if a lack of fuel is detected.
Here we have a twin turbo carbed 351W, check it out. They use a Holley 600 cfm carb, but use 30lb injector to supply the addition fuel. Pretty crazy:

And check out the home for some other crazy projects...including a twin Roots supercharger T-bird.
wow that twin supercharged bird is crazy! :D
You would have to have a BLOW THUR carb. With a bonnet on top.
Check out TURBOMUSTANGS.COM
THere is alot of info on that site. You will also need a boost retard or something simlar to retard the timing under boost.
Hope this helps
