Title: help with throttle cable n kickdown cable

hey i need help with my 5.0 throttle cable. Right now i just swaped a 5.0 on to my tbird that originally had a 3.8 . on the 5.0 i have teh throttle cable bracket but no throttle cable . i have the old 3.8 throttle cable and the otehr cable witch i think is the kick down. my question is  i since i will be changing the throttle cable to a 5.0 throttle cable do i have to change the other cable as well i think which is the kick down???  let me know thanks in advanced :)

You'll need a 5.0 TV cable.Check good old E-Bay.I have the '86 model TV cable.Not easy to find,but I got one that is next to new for $10.00.Great price.

???  wats the other cable other then the throttle ??the one you showed me PAUL FLOCKHART???

The TV cable is the other cable.TV stands for "throttle valve".You'll also need the cable bracket if you don't have one.I saw one yesterday on E-Bay.I'll try to find it.

It's the only one I could find,but it's from a 5.0.....23002483920...that's the item number.

I'm in the middle of the same cable conversion. The other cable in addition to the TV cable and throttle cable is the cruise control cable. So far I think the V6 is different than the V8 one, but I'm going to try and make the V6 one work.

well if the v6 cruis control works good im ok with that but the throttle cable from teh v6 does not open wide at all but do you have to chyange the kick down cable??? or can i use the kick down from the v6???

You need the 5.0 throttle valve cable (kickdown).
