Drivetrain Tech / Rear 5 lug disc?

tms217,

Can you share what your experience was with getting the correct axles for the SN95 swap?  May help other folks going down that road when sourcing parts from an auto recycler / salvage yard.

Would love to!

So after a ton of talking and research, as long as you buy a 1994-1998 rear axle, everything will swap directly into a Fox axle and be able to use the rear disc brakes.  Anything newer and your axles will be .75in too long on each side.  All of the bracket hardware, calipers and fittings are the same between 94 to 04 from what I have been able to find.  I bought a new caliper for a 94 and compared it to the 99 version and they were identical.  Also, the rear Cobra caliper are the same as well.  Note that you will also need the brake hoses and possibly lines to properly route over the axle.  My kit already had this done so I did not have to worry about this.  The E-Brake cables will be needed as well to convert from the drum to the disc setup.

Thanks again for all of the help.  I have everything ordered and should be able to pick it up Friday.

Drivetrain Tech / Rear 5 lug disc?
Hey all, I just bout a 88 Notch and it came with the SSBC A112-1 rear disc conversion on it (10" rotors from the Turbo coupe). I want to convert this to a 5 lug pattern but not 100% sure how to complete this. I have heard that 1991-92 the Mark VII rear rotors are the same but 5 lug. Anyone know if this is true?  Per this link, it says Ranger axles and the Lincoln rotors are a direct fit to convert.
