David--Thanks so much for the BEAUTIFUL pictures of my Willys. Mitch, Forrest and John did a great job on it! Thought you may be interested in a little history on it. My Dad bought it in 1958, 3 months before I was born. He daily drove it until parking it behind his house in 1976. It sat there until he passed away in 2009. Over the years the floors and fenders had rusted out and it was in pretty sad shape. I got it and parked it under a shed for a few years using it to store goat feed and hay. Finally decided to have it built in 2012. Mitch was a good friend and had just opened his restoration shop and I became one of his first big jobs. The frame was bent and rusted out in several places so we swapped in a modded '94 S-10 chassis and a '95 Z-28 aluminum headed LT1 engine/4L60E tranny. After hundreds of hours of work by the guys it turned out even better than I had hoped. I do think my Dad would be proud... Thanks again! --Robbie
