T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars FOR SALE / 88 TC - Black - 5spd - 54k Original Miles
Quote from: hypostang;326754
Beautiful car , good luck :D

Thanks...

Hate to let it go.... I've been doing TCs since 99, but I got a 2010 Challenger R/T and I am over my "limit" of cars.  So some have to go.  Of the 8 TCs I've owned this one is the best of all.

Hopefully it finds a good home.

T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars FOR SALE / NOS Rear Window Trim - Late 88 Model Year
This is another part that is difficult to find and puts the finishing touch on a quality restoration.

NOS Rear Window Trim for the Late 88 Model Year.  This is the two piece plastic/rubber molding that goes around the rear window.

The item is new still in original packaging and contains two pieces.

1 - Inner piece that goes around the rear window glass.  This part cannot be seen when the moulding is installed, but is the part that the outer molding (the part you see) snaps into and holds it all in place.

2- Outer molding.  This is the part that you can see and on a lot of our cars is cracked and faded etc.  It snaps into the 1 part described above.

Depending on the condition of the part 1 on the car it may be possible to remove the old outer molding and snap the new one in.

$120 plus shipping.

Thanks lads...
This one is an automatic as well.  My previous 4 were all standards.  I guess I am getting old.  Actually these cars are pretty quick with the automatics.

They do have some downsides tho. Their electrical systems are VERY finicky, they have the world's WORST injections system. (two injector throttle body setup)  Folks have done great things even with the TBI setup but to really get someplace a swap to a Magna Port Injection setup is the way to go.

This car is really supposed to be the "project after next".  I am trying to finish up my 67 Fairlane.  A V-8 conversion of my automatic 88 TC is then next up.  The Conquest is then the last of the projects.  Depending on where I am in life etc. and how far I get down that trail, I MIGHT consider taking the 2.3L that is removed from my 88TC and drop it in the Quest.

This is a picture of my previous Starion, the one I sold and regret to this day.

Well,

Last month I just couldn't resist an opportunity.  I owned one of these a couple of years ago, sold it, and never got over it.

So this 89 Conquest was for sale in South Carolina.  Used to be an Arizona car and made its way to SC via North Carolina.  78k original miles on the car.

My son and I made a 4 day, 4k mile thunder run and brought the Quest "home" to Arizona.

Lots to do on it, but with the Turbo 4 it fits right in with the pack.

What's the offset of your rims?  I see you were considering more than the 255s but would have to remove the quad shocks.  Your rims look exactly like mine and I have 275s under the back with no clearance problems concerning the quads.
