The A237 is basically DOA until around 3K. After that it comes on like an after burner. Exactly where it comes on depeds on your other mods and turbo sizing. Idle is slightly lumpy. Expect to give up 3-5" of vacuum. It can be run 2-4* advanced to bring the power curve down some. Some people run it 2*- for a bigger top end

The ranger roller is a truck cam and as such has a good low and middle. It's actually smaller than a stock slider - .355" vs .390-.400"
It can be run on the minus side for more top end,

High volume pumps put additional strain on the shaft that drives the pump. It can cause the shafts to break or worse, strip out the teeth on the dizzy gear and aux shaft. A stock pump is all you need.

Hope those pistons are forged.

Now, i've seen some people put like..an oiler just under the pistons..or something of the sort,

and what about crank sers, RedLX i noticed you've got one, do you know of it doing and good...any bad !?

i think i'll go with the A237 Cam, cause with all the work, and run it about 2* retarded, cause all in all ....1st gear is a waist of time, and by the time your back into second, and back on it, your still at around 2500 RPM, so that's about when it'll kick in..

any one know of where the best bang for the buck on valves are !?

i found a guy on E-bay in oregon, that sells valves and dual springs with titanum locks,  worth it ?! 

Opps..almost forgot...where can i find such a cam ?! will i need new rollers, lifters, what all will i need....is there a kit with all of it ?

Is this 2* retarded from factory timing on stock cam? Also will this effect ideal if not set right or if ignition timing is off?

I am try to help the person who bought the car from me with an ideal concern. The car is at a shop that is said that specializes in the 2.3 engine and set up.

The cam is the ford motor sports hydraulic roller cam with advertised duration of 274 int. and 282 exh. with .420" lift. I am told that the tech set the cam and ignition timing to factory spec.

What is the base seating this cam and ignition should be at and what fine adjustments should be made?

The tech has installed a factory t-body, adjusted 5.0 t-body, played with other sensors, and not change.

I have told the owner that there could be a vacuum leak or possible injector sticking. I also told the new owner that I don't believe that the cam should be set to factory spec as a stock cam.

The other issue is the tech installed shims under the lifters due to some minor valve train noise. I informed the tech that he may have created another problem with the valves not seating correctly on the head.

Also the car does not pass smog due to high idea, a 30% increase with emissions. The car was smogged in 09 with leaking valve steam seals, failed plugs, and a hollow cat. It passed by a few parts per million. (3-4)

The picture shows the cracking clear coat at that spot. The other pictures show the car's good and bad. I wanted to focus on key points. I will post full picture later today or tomorrow of the car.

As far as other cars being for sale I don't care about. This is a California car that has never left the state with two owners that are father daughter. This is a manual car with great color combination and great mods. The condition of this 24 year old care is great too.

I have listed the areas of concern that I am aware of. I have someone coming by this week to look at the car. The car will be and still is for sale until a deal is made.

The tags have not been payed in a year. I am not sure what is due. I would think its around $150 give or take few. Also I will be out of town with limited internet access. If the car does not sell on ebay it will still be up for sale.

The car runs great. Not smogged because we are selling it. Past last year here in CA with out a cat and leaking valve stem seals which have been replace.

I dont have a whole car picture at the moment.

The $3500 is what I want, but any reasonable offer will be considered.
