My first ride was an 87 Buick electra. Had about 300K on the clock and one day, after I'd owned it a couple of months, it just quit running. The engine just stopped, steamed a little and never lived again, the shop I took it to told me I had cracked the block, but it didn't make any noise and would crank over just fine. Looking back I don't think that motor was blown, but I would have never fallen in love with the 5.0 if it hadn't. A couple of days later I bought an 89 grand marquis then a year or so after that my cougar.

$200 shipped Off of a 93 Mustang GT, my best friend got himself a steal on some GT40's so he's trying to sell these. They had 100k on them before he took them off last winter, he got bored and sent them off to get tanked and magnafluxed then rebuilt them with fresh guides, seals and a 3 angle valve job. You can bolt these on and go, they are in better than new operating condition. Pics are from before rebuild.
I'm trying to find an exact weight for them, which is proving difficult but it would be between $60 and $80 I'm sure. I will do some checking and shoot you a pm.
Cam just needs to be cleaned up a bit no major nics or damage, actually I only found one small nic on the center cam bearing area. Nothing a good polish wouldn't cure. Cam had about 90k on it when removed to make room for an E303. $30 shipped. before after a little oil and some rubbing with a towel Heads are off of same car just with about 5k more miles on them. Look to be in pretty good shape but I have not seen them since they were removed from the car. $80 plus shipping Will negotiate pricing if someone wants both items.
lol all I really have thats not installed already is the cam, which is for sale, and I have a built AOD with no miles on it for sale too. I don't know what pics of my car might be on coolcats but I did tint the taillights and remove the reflectors. It saddens me a lot too, I love my cat but I can't afford to have a DD and a toy right now.
Well I sold the cougar yesterday. :( It will be missed very much but I was having too many problems and the mileage was just not good enough for a DD. Maybe someday I will get another fox, maybe an 87-88 TC. I have gone over to the dark side and bought an 04 Impala with the 3.8, I bought a rental car :D, not really but its just my DD and I decided to go the sensible route this time around.
When I launch hard or if I take a corner a little too fast without a near full tank of gas the car surges something fierce. the launches especially it'll go good for a second then its like i take my foot off the throttle, then it comes back on again, then dies out again. I have gotten it to surge like that about 4-5 times once. i'm thinking its a fuel issue because when the tank is full it works fine. Any ideas??
