thats the BCS,  your going to bypass that anyway, get a MBC and you will take the BCS out of the loop and alow you to adjust your boost level.

BCS= Boost Control Solinoid
MBC= Manual Boost Controller

when you do the fuel pump, get a Walbro 255 LPH and an Adjustable fuel pressure regulator (AFPR)

The AFPR needs to be boost sensitive, so for 1lb of boost it will increase the fuel pressure by +1lb Kirban is a good one and about (70 bux)

:bowdown: Thank you man, I was kinda thinking that's what that was but wanted to be sure. Yeah the plan will be a Gillis Valve, K&N, 255 Walbro and a better reg. Didn't really know much about the regs but I will look into the Kirban one that you're talking about.

Thanks again,
Cody

That's the best shot I have of it, and by high boost I mean the factory switch turned to premium fuel. The factory boost guage is showing it's fine up to 10psi then when it hits 15-16ish it flutters and drops back to 10psi and does the same thing over and over. It doesn't do it when the switch is flipped to the reg fuel side.

Engine Tech / New Guy with a question
Hello everyone, I've gotta question to ask. I'm buying an '88 TurboCoupe from my brother and it has a few issues. One of the big ones is the fact that it will not hold high boost at high RPMs. I've been looking over it and I know for one that it's gonna need a new fuel pump, the one in it is showing it's time to go. But the other thing, that I found when I was looking over it was there's a little sensor on the pass. side fender well that is cracked around the top. I have no idea what it is for but it has to hoses running into it, one pre turbo side and one post turbo (if I remember right it was running into the intercooler) and it had a conector coming out of it. It's cracked around the top and looks like someone tried to glue it at one point. Anyone know what it is and if that might be a reason for the boost issues?

Thanks guys, Cody
