bellow is a NISSAN that was recalled by the dealer for warped rotors. Chris is my neighbor and i told him i would do it for him for free. His wife insisted on using the dealer. This is the result. They spun the caliper over while installing it and the [COLOR="#FF0000"]hose rubbed through the sway bar bolt [/COLOR]and he lost the rear brakes. Always double check everything especially the brakes. By the way the dealer refused to fix it and said they were not at fault. I repaired the car and all is well in Asian car land.
Tom, did you mean to say this (red highlight) or that the sway bar bolt rubbed through the hose?

You need to find out where the line is rubbing. If left for to long it will eventually rub through and rupture. This could wind up burning your trans out; which could cost a lot more than $85.00. You might be able to correct/fix it by just bending it slightly away from the contact area.
Just get your crank key turned up to 12:00. Then you can mark (I used a center punch) a couple of reference points on the cam gears. Take a picture of it for memories sake!
I just recently had to repair my daughters expedition. (5.4) It had blown one of the plugs out. This was definitely a c. If your brother plans on keeping the vehicle, you might want to consider plug seat work while you have the head out. There were 3-4 years of the 4.6/5.4 engine that were/are notorious for blowing the plugs.
Start by determining what you NEED in your garage. Then either toss or sell the rest. I'm bad about not throwing things out thinking I might need it some day. Then it usually sits and moved around several times. Should've thrown it out to start with.
You should go with option 1. Take it to court and fight for what is right! If you run away, you'll regret it forever. Not to mention, if you leave, who else are these people going to harass? And for what? As long as no one calls the bullies bluff, the longer they think they are invincible. Fight for what is right! If you lose then, at least you can walk away with your head held high.
BTW, if it was my brother adding to this , I'd beat his ass down.
