General Fox T-Bird/Cougar Discussion / Got a free mark 7 engine for my bird
Um actually the whole rear end is a great swap in a Tbird.  I have done it twice myself now.  I used rears from LSC Mk7 on two my Turbo Coupes.  You usually get a 3.27 Limited slip rear ration, and a bit wider track width to help fill out those rear fenders.  I will be doing it a third time to an '85 Bird, but this time with a different ratio for a different engine/trans combo.

But the part about the airbags is correct, dont bother with them.

Dont let anyone change your mind about "painting" your car.  If it makes you happy go for it.  You can always change it back or to something different later if you want. 

For what its worth, I didnt care much for the color scheme on your last car.  But its all part of your journey, not mine  ;)

Archive & Library (Read Only) / Help! 7.5" Axle to 8.8" Trouble!
So does anyone know the width of the housing in an 84'-92' Mark VII?  Im going from a Fox Mustang 8.8 drum rear to Mark VII axles, rotors, calipers, ect.  Im looking for the 5 Lug vented rotor and the extra width.  Just want to make sure its going to be a bit wider then an 87'-88' Turbo Coupe rear end.
