the prev owner only put 1400 miles on it in 12 years and kept it garaged.Kneedragger, from the pic of you on your bike(and your name) you seem to enjoy the twists and turns as opposed to the straight shots.
Wife surprised me once again this year with this 86 Yamaha V-Max.I've always wanted one of these bikes.Crazy fast with the V-boost(WOW).Hope to see some of you again in 09 @ the Cat Jam.Dave C.
I hope everyone had a safe trip home.I had a great time at my first Cat Jam Thanks to Eric and everyone else who organized it.Everyone was super friendly and it put me in mind of a kind of family reunion, very comfortable atmosphere. My brother came up with me and was really impressed with all of it.Already looking forward to next year, see ya later.:D
I was replacing the water pump on the cougar yesterday and left in my focus to rent a pulley puller and about a mile from my house threw the timing belt on the focus and hence trashed the engine. Now until i get it back from the garage the cougar is now my daily driver which with all the rain we've been getting here should be a pain in the a** to get it cleaned up properly.
I wish I could hook up with you for the road trip but because of my work schedule I can't leave until early Sat morning hopefully around 6 a.m.I'm going to try to meet up at the r.r.in for a possible group photo which from what i've seen posted would be around 10:00 to 10:30ish.Your route sounds like the one we'll be taking.
finally got a couple pics of the cougar my wife bought me back in november. Not too much to modify on it since it's a 3.8 but it is in really nice condition for a 95(85000 miles) and it makes a nice second car for me.the only things i've done are the tires, stereo and speakers. It had 215-70/15 whitewalls on it.I went with a 235-65/15 BFG on the factory wheels.I like these wheels so I decided to keep them.I'll see some of you at cat jam this year.See ya later.
I'm looking for a power antenna mast for my 95 cougar. Is there another source for these other than the dealerships who want about 63.00 for the mast alone(entire unit runs 215.00)once again I only need the mast. The 3 or 4 I've found at the salvage yard all have broken nylon cables just like mine(obviously a typical problem).Any help is greatly appreciated.Dave
Does someone have an address of a hotel where some of you will be staying?I saw that there was a big group picture of the cars last year that was taken before the drive to the park,I'm driving up from the columbus area that sat. morning and would like to get into that picture if possible (if the same thing is going to be done). An address and an approximate time would be greatly appreciated.Dave
