ok heres the problem. i put a new starter on my bird, along with a solenoid switch. and the car just kept turning over when i tried to atart it. so i bought a new ingition switch. still doing it. so i took back the solenoid awitch for new one. then nothing. so i checked the ground. ok. traced the wire from the switch to solenoid. tried to start car and car turned over but would not stop turning over. so i disconnected the ground on battery. does anyone have suggestion on this?
I have a question regarding your cam you listed 0.493 int/0.500 exh. with stock bottom end. did you have flat top or dished pistons installed? If I'm not mistken the most lift on a 302 ford is 0.488int/ 0.488 exh. due to valve damage to the pistons. I was just curious.
I have a 302 from what I have researched about it. I beleive it is from either a 1972 Torino or 1972 Ford Truck. I have installed the cam bearings, new valve stim seals.and one new exhaust valve. Also had crank polished and has been installed and torqued to ford specs. It has been cleaned and painted Ford Red. I have the factory push rods and pistons but the pistons need replaced. I need to sell we have a new member joining the family. Her name is Emily. And it is just in the way. I will entertain any good offer. I was hoping to get maybe $250 or $300 for it. If interested just drop me a word here. also i do not have oil pan, valve covers or intake.
very nice car. what is the tranny. i also have an 83 bird.but yours is going to be sweeet. post finished photos please so we can see it. also what is the HP of the engine. and what is your color code for the paint.
i will get some outside pics. but the color under the hood is ford red. just the lighting in the garage makes it look orange. do you have pics of your cars.for us to see. thanks for your response.
