Nice little progress, that's always so satisfying to bang out all the details in a row.

On my car I had to slot the throttle cable bracket to move it upward and get clearance over the valve cover (Cobra intake, tall valve covers, 1" phenolic spacer). But all that did clear the adjustable FPR. It's not uncommon to need to adjust things. The EGR spacer will do the trick though.

Gotcha. How about E5SZ-8B607-A, would that work? Looks identical...there's one on eBay and it's affordable.

OK, that explains it. I did see that type of sensor when searching and thought maybe the Mark VII one would work. So you have the round connector vs. the Mark VII/Continental rectangular connector, is that what you're saying?

Paul, have you removed it? Need to see what the end looks like that sticks down into the heater tube.

I'm also not finding much with that main part number. It might have been superseded along the way.

That is a super beautiful car...outstanding. Good luck with the sale.

The HO cam requires 19 lb/hr injectors, the HO firing order (1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8), and a computer swap to at least a 1987-88 Mustang HO automatic ECU in order for it to run correctly. Just FYI.

That was a database transfer issue. Alex could probably explain it better but there was a problem in converting the old image tags over to the new database. I'm not sure if he ever got it to work properly in testing.

I hate myself on video even more, so probably just audio. As for a schedule, not sure but the goal would be a few times a year, as time allows. Maybe I could batch up a few and release them every few months.

Only about a decade and a half too late but...

I'm thinking about (maybe) doing a podcast for our cars. Admittedly I don't like the sound of my own voice and my public speaking skills are rudimentary, but if there's enough interest I'd be willing to give it a try. It might be a good winter project so that's why I'm considering it.

Would anyone be interested in this?

And if so, what would you like to hear? Any particular subject?

Not sure if I could get any guest speakers but that would be a great goal. Even if it's just one of you guys relaying a story or advice, that would be great.

Just spitballing here. LMK your thoughts either way.

My first '84 ended up having the infamous first-year EEC-IV processor cut-out. It did just that...cut out for a split second, then the car came back on (3.8L V8/C-5 transmission). Not real fun when turning at an intersection. The car had an extended warranty and it more than paid for itself...EGR, TPS, distributor, TFI module, etc. were all replaced. Think they did the EEC relay also. Finally they gave in and got a new EEC-IV processor and that finally did the trick.

So maybe something in the EEC itself? A lot of times the capacitors go, as there are lots of services that will recap them now.

Otherwise I'm all for the ignition switch or the TFI replacement and go from there. It could be a ground issue somewhere also...like the block to firewall, something like that. It sounds kinda major so you'd think it would be kinda easy to find but I know how sneaky Fords can be, especially with 1980s wiring...
