Sorry to bring up an old thread.....but the difference in the C5/C6 application is that the "flywheel" is appoximately 8 feet long....ie the torque tube that spins at engine RPM.
Having said that, the 15% number jibes well with most Corvette dyno curves I've seen. Stock 345 hp LS1s make 300ish at the wheels all day long.
