i have seen it in other films and tv shows as well.  i know i had seen it on ER.  look at the trunk lid.  it has a security cover over the trunk lock.  idk just something i noticed

LEADS on T-Bird/Cougar Stuff For Sale / 86 convertable (aka, my dream car) on ebay
first thing i would do is pull that stupid looking thing off that trunk.  i mean the same day i would bring it home.  i wouldnt drive anywhere with that thing.  then i would swap in a 5.0.  i remember how much of a slug my 86 3.8 was, it was slugish but fun to drive.  but i cant imagine how a much heavier convert would drive.
