And yes, there are still plenty of things to do. Recover the seats in a color that matches the interior, and plenty of tweaks and adjustments to make.

User Rides / Project - The Bat in The Cat
Haven't posted in what... 2 years? The car did finally get "done", even though I still have plenty to do. As many of you know, this is a car my dad bought new and then gave to me in 96 because he knew I always loved it. Many time over the years I thought of getting rid of it because it's "not practical". I'm glad I didn't and glad I got it painted. My dad passed away in March of 2015, but he did get quite a few rides in the Cougar after it was done. I drove him to dialysis in it quite a few times, and those were the times he really smiled on the way. My mom thought I "ruined" the car and made it too loud, but my dad thought it sounded perfect! He loved the growl!

Anyway, just want to post an update and a few pics (many of you have seen them on Facebook already). Also want to say thanks to everyone that has helped along the way with info, advice, parts, etc. Eric (right from the beginning in the 90's), Vinnie, Chuck, David, and many many more. Thanks guys!

T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars WANTED / Need help with A/C line, 86 Turbo Coupe
Posted this in the wrong forum earlier, so reposting here.

Need help with a board member (and customer's) car. 1986 Turbo Coupe, needs the a/c discharge line. Part number E4SZ-19972-B. Not having luck finding it anywhere, RockAuto doesn't even list it. He's planning on bringing the car to Carlisle this weekend, and would REALLY like to have A/C. Does anyone have one available, and possibly be able to ship it overnight (unless you are local to Philadelphia area). Or, does anyone that is going to Carlisle have one they would be willing to bring with them and sell at Carlisle? Please let me know, reply here and/or e-mail CougrrrFiveO@gmail.com

Thanks!

General Fox T-Bird/Cougar Discussion / The Tbird is gone !
I came close to selling the Cougar a couple times when I was offered a lot more than it's "worth". I am SOOOOO glad I didn't sell it! Like Vinnie said about his, it's a part of the family. Mine is also a direct connection to my dad (since it was his car) and I will never part with it. Every now and then I miss not having an AMC Javelin, but I don't regret selling any of those. They all had their issues, and I had plenty of fun with them when I did have them.

How about making those little interior door handle cups!  Hey, we all need those and they are small enough to churn out with this!

I did play in the rain a little though. I switched out the one light on  my car that was cracked. On the left is the junkyard find from last week, and on the right is the one that was on my car. I also stripped everything off the console I got at the junkyard, cleaned it, and got it ready for paint, AND my new switch decals came in the mail on Saturday so hopefully I will have a new looking console by the end of the week!

Nah, leave them like you photo hack.  Its your car, make it the way you like it.  And for petes sake post some photos when your done.  The photo shop job doesn't do your car ANY justice.

Yeah, that's what I am thinking. I played around in photoshop at home over the weekend and I just didn't like the wheels all the way blacked out. Just blacking them like I showed above makes them look stock. I'm happy with that. It was too rainy all weekend to do anything with them though. Hopefully I'll get them done this week sometime.
